Geelong Naturalist
The Geelong Naturalist is the quarterly magazine of the Geelong Field Naturalists Club. The magazine provides a channel for club members and others to share and communicate their knowledge of and research about the local environment.
Previous issues of the Geelong Naturalist, dating from 1895, along with issues from 1964 to date, are available at the Biodiversity Heritage Library. You can search the Biodiversity Heritage Library collections using Advanced Search. Enter Geelong Naturalist as the title and your search text in the last box named Text. When the results are displayed click on +Details under each result for more details.
Additionally, back copies from 2012 to date are available on Trove, Australian National Library’s online research portal.

Geelong Bird Report
The Geelong Bird Report 2013-2016 was produced by club members using observation data from eBird Australia and other sources.
Earlier Geelong Bird Reports 1987-2012 were based on club member’s observations and are available on Trove.

Significant Roadside Vegetation in Armstrong Creek and Mt Duneed
The roadsides of Armstrong Creek and Mt Duneed near Geelong, Victoria, contain
many locally threatened or vulnerable plants. This report focuses on grassy and herbaceous vegetation on well-preserved roadsides within the City of Greater Geelong area. Its purpose is to emphasize the value of these areas, highlight their important attributes and suggest management techniques to help conserve and restore them.

Some saltmarsh plants found in the Geelong area
This booklet, written and illustrated by GFNC Life Member Lorraine Phelan, provides an accessible overview of some of the saltmarsh plant communities found around the Geelong region. It includes a useful key to assist in identifying important native plant species, along with accompanying illustrations.
