It is GFNC policy that information, observations and records submitted to the club should be as widely available as possible for the purpose of fulfilling the aims of the club. In this regard, the club may deposit submitted records in national databases (for example: The Atlas of Living Australia, BirdLife Australia and international databases such as eBird).
Should you not wish for this to occur, you are advised to NOT submit information, observations and records to the club databases.
Members are reminded that entry onto private properties or land requires the permission of the land owner/manager. The observer must seek their consent to record any species seen on their land. Where observations are made of animala that are within a private property but seen from a public land vantage point, then the GPS coordinates of the records must clearly show that the observer was not trespassing.
Adding or editing your own observations require logging in to the web site. If you do not have an log-in, it can be arranged on request by e-mailing the club: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
