GFNC Observations: Bird

Rufous Songlark
Harcourt St, Newtown
litted out from garden bed into bare leafless tree allowing clear naked eye view at eye level at 4m. Smaller, paler, plainer and slighter than Song Thrush (which has been extinct in neighbourhood c10 years). Clear supercilium with subtle rufous wash on crown and rump. Flitted off to S without calling. Presumably moving on during migration after dropping somewhere overnight. Quite extraordinary.
