Time: No later than 8.45am please for signing in, OHS discussion,  for a commencement of walk at 9am.

Meet:  at Grahams Creek Picnic area in the NW region of the park.

Travelling from Geelong the easiest way to get to the picnic area is to head to Meredith from Geelong on the A300, once in Meredith turn right off the highway onto the C142 Meredith-Steiglitz Road, travel for a few kilometres and turn left into Eclipse Road , travel along this road and turn right into Grahams Creek Rd, drive a couple of kilometres and turn left into Grahams Creek Picnic area.

General: We will leave all cars at the picnic area. Head north along the Burchell Trail, turn right and head East along Hazel Track until it meets Lease Road and continue walking in a SSW direction until it meets Hut Road to the south. At this junction of tracks we will turn and head in a NW direction and rejoin the Burchell Trail and follow it in a N direction en route to our original starting point at Grahams Creek Picnic area. The entire walking circuit is approximately 6km in length.

Along the way we are hoping to see early signs of orchids and other Winter/Spring plants ready to begin the journey beyond the upcoming Winter Solstice, birds and other biological beauties.

Lunch:  Lunch will be held back at the picnic area after the completion of the walk. Bring snacks to eat along the way if you can’t wait for lunch.

Toilets: There are no toilets at the picnic area.

Bring:  Binoculars, hat, sunscreen, water, field guides and hand lens, water,  clothes for all seasons and a chair if staying for lunch.

Emergency: Mobile phone reception is good.
