Jerringot Wetlands Gardening Day

Sunday 27 September @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

This is the third of our Jerringot beatification days. Following some plant stock being planted in April of this year around the Bird Hide, we will have a two hour working bee to weed around these plants, spread some further mulch and conduct additional planting.
Come join us with this not so strenuous activity and see the new floating raft that is now there for roosting birds. A flock of Magpie Geese have been at Jerringot recently. They may still be there or they could be displaced by the Royal Spoonbills who also like the natural island that is in the northern pond. The official snipe count is the day before so we may be able to see these migratory birds also.
This is a great opportunity to catch up with other members, bring your own morning tea/coffee and maybe some cake or biscuits to share. Have your folding chair to be comfortable!
Gloves and other gardening equipment will be provided.
