GFNC member Graeme Stockton has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to conservation and environment. The award was announced as part of the King’s Birthday Honours List June 2026.
Graeme has worked tirelessly for many decades to protect and enhance the habitats around the Surf Coast. His long-term dedication to facilitating community action to repair and improve local environmental biodiversity has been extraordinary.
We congratulate Graeme on his well-deserved award and look forward to hearing him speak at our July General Meeting on the topic of “Saving Spring Creek Valley”.
