Join us for a walk around Jerringot to explore this local site which has been an important part of GFNC’s local history.

Hear about how this was a local site of abundance and camping for Wauthurong  people and how the geology of the ancient shoreline helped fashion the wetland system and plains of Belmont Common. It has been used for many different purposes since white settlement. The recently finished Barwon Heads widening has allowed new vantage points to be enjoyed.

We will do a slow circuit walk exploring birdlife, plants and insect life and follow with a picnic tea

Meet at 4 pm at the bird hide on the road into Barwon Valley Golf Club

Bring suitable footwear for some walking in grass and  mosquito repellant and picnic tea if you would like to stay after the walk

Location Jerringot
