Who Are the Geelong Field Naturalists?

The GFNC is a club for anyone interested in wildlife, plants, or conservation in the Geelong region.

The club holds monthly meetings (via a mix of Zoom and face to face) and excursions.

Most meetings have presentations from specialists in aspects of natural history and conservation.

Geelong Botanic Gardens
Standing in central garden watching butterflies and noticed 'Heron shaped bird in flight overhead. Quick glance white above and dark below, managed to photograph as bird disappeared towards the SE. Confirmed initial thought of White-necked Heron when enlarged download photo. Heron was flying from a NW direction.
